best time to visit egypt

Travel to Egypt in their winter which runs from October until April. Temperatures will be much more comfortable but the attractions will be busier. Try to avoid December and January as these are known as the peak months.

What to wear while traveling in Egypt?

Egypt is a modern country where they wear modern clothes. It’s best to wear breathable fabrics such as cotton, linen, and silk. During the winter time, take a sweater and long jeans as the temperatures in the evening will drop.






A place to stay - best view pyramids hotel

Located in front of pyramids of The Giza pyramids, and only 5 minutes from sphinx. The bed & breakfast offers a roof top terrace with barbecue where the guest can view pyramids sound and light show.

day 1: The Pyramids and Great Sphinx of Giza (10:00am-2:00pm)

Entrance fee: Php 257

The pyramid itself is filled with internal passages and chambers that would have housed the Pharaoh's granite sarcophagus and all the necessary goods for a fruitful journey to the afterlife.

This is a testament to human ingenuity and strength, we were definitely in awe.


The Great Sphinx of Giza is a giant limestone statue showing a mythical creature with the head of a human and body of a lion. The iconic symbol of Egypt, generally believed to represent the pharaoh Khafre, mythicised as treacherous and merciless.


Reminders: wear sunscreen and comfortable shoes.




Activity 2: a heritage walk to The Khan El-Khalili souk (3:00pm-6:00pm)

The Khan El-Khalili souk is a maze filled with spices, food, clothing, leather bags, jewelry, and antiques. It is also considered an open museum, having old MOsques and other Islamic monuments.

Expenses for shopping & meal: Php 500-1,500


Take note: be moderately dressed since there are Mosques you can visit.

Don't feel pressured to buy anything, everyone is friendly but always be mindful of your valuables.




Day 2: the egyptian museum (8:00am-12:00pm)

Entrance fee: Php 353

Home to the world’s greatest collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts, you can even see real preserved mummies in the mummy!





activity 2: the hanging church (2:00pm-3:00pm)

Officially called the Church of the Virgin Mary, this unique location gives the church the impression of hanging in mid-air as it is built on top of an ancient Roman fortress.




Activity 3: The mosque of muhammad ali (3:00pm-5:30pm)

Entrance fee: Php 160

Located on a hilltop inside the Cairo Citadel is the Mosque of Muhammad Ali. The impressive limestone mosque is a beautiful site to visit for a couple of hours and has a view overlooking the entire city.





day 3: end of traveling egypt

Take an international flight from Cairo or Sharm El-Sheikh to the Philippines.
